Winnipeg police are looking for a young suspect after a man was attacked with a machete outside a 7-Eleven near the Polo Park area.

Officers were called Thursday at around 10:45 p.m. to the convenience store in the 1700 block of Portage Avenue, police said in a release Sunday.

The suspect had fled on foot before police arrived, the release said. He is believed to have been with two other teenagers when the assault occurred.
